The begining of MFF "Wreath of Vrsac" 2013.

The 16th International Folk Festival ‘The Wreath of Vršac’ 2013 takes place in Vršac, from 15th to 18th July 2013. This year, the Festival’s patrons are the municipality of Vršac, the Provincial Secretariat for Culture and Media and the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Serbia. The Festival Golden sponsors are Hemofarm Foundation and Commercial Bank, and its donors are Societe Generale bank, ‘Moja Voda’ water factory and ‘Vršački Vinogradi’. As in the previous years, the Festival is supported by the Festival’s Friends Club with not less important sponsors. The organizer of the Festival is the Cultural Centre of Vršac.
Due to a difficult financial situation, this year’s Festival lasts for three days, and 12 ensembles from 9 countries are taking part in it (instead of 18 ensembles from 12 countries). During the three Festival evenings, the audience will enjoy watching ensembles from Mexico, Indonesia, Turkey, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Hungary and Romania, as well as four ensembles from Serbia: ‘Branko Radičević’ Ruma, ‘Ravangrad’ Sombor, ‘Svetozar Marković’ Novi Sad, and ‘Raška’ from Raška. Also, five cultural artistic societies from the municipality of Vršac will take place in this year’s Festival: ‘Laza Nančić’, ‘Grozd’, ‘Petefi Šandor’ and ‘Lućaferul’ from Vršac, and ‘Sveti Sava’ from Veliko Središte.
This year’s Festival will also be enriched by accompanying programme: Ethno fair at the Town Square (July 15th - July 18th), ‘Kosovski vez’ exhibition, in the City Museum of Vršac (July 15th - July 21st ), Photographs Exhibition in the Cultural Centre of Vršac (July 16th - July 21st) and Comics Exhibition in the City Museum of Vršac (July 17th).
